idea iDP - Line Feeder
Protection System
The Edison idea iDP provides complete feeder
protection. Several different scheme files are
available for a variety of overcurrent relay applications.
Available protection functions include:
- Phase, Ground, and Negative-Sequence
instantaneous, definite time, and inverse
time overcurrent
- Directional phase and ground elements
- Multiple-Step over/under frequency elements
- Over/under voltage elements
- Multiple-Shot programmable reclosing
- Sync-check
- Reverse Power
- Breaker fail-to-trip and fail-to close detection
- Fuse-Fail detection
- Incipient Cable Splice Failure detector
- Breaker monitoring

Edison IM30DRE Feeder Relay
The IM30DRE provides 50/51 and 50N/51N OC protection,
negative sequence OC, four shot reclosing with sequence coordination, dual setting groups,
auto cold load pick-up, fast bus trip logic, and breaker fail logic.

Edison MU30 Measurement Unit
As a complement to the IM30DRE, the MU30 provides a full
range of metering functions in the familiar Edison relay hardware, with all measurements
available over Modbus and from the front panel. Measurements include voltages, currents,
watts, vars, va, power factor, frequency, watt-hours, var-hours, va-hours, watt demand,
var demand and va-demand. A pulsed output is also available for energy meters. The MU30 is
ideal for situations where the use of protection class CTs is desired for the feeder
relay, and separate higher accuracy metering class voltage and current transformers are
used for measurements.
The MU30 and IM30DRE are available as a package factory
mounted in a single, flush-mount case.
