ELFTM Current-Limiting Dropout Fuse
Cooper Power Systems' ELF current-limiting dropout fuse is a full-range, current-limiting fuse designed for mounting in an indusry standard interchangeable cutout that is presently used for expulsion fuses. The ELF fuse can protect pole-type transformers, single-phase and three-phase laterals and underground taps. The single-house completely contained fuse is ideal for fire hazard areas. The full-range current-limiting rating ensures reliable operation of all overloads and fault currents, while the fuse limits energy let into equipment during a high current fault.
The Tandem ELF current-limiting fuse is designed for fusing single-phase transformers, three-phase transformers, or three-phase banks of single-phase transformers. This fuse combines the features of a series fuse link and a backup current-limiting fuse in one convenient package. Only a standard fuse link need be replaced for an overload operation (stocking special link is not required). The Tandem ELF fuse includes a unique design for fast replacement of the backup current-limiting fuse after a high fault current operation. In addition, with the use of a surge durable D-link fuse the installation supports a lightning protected transformer.
Air-insulated Current-Limiting Fuses ELX and X-Limiter fuses are full range, non-gassing,
indicator-equipped fuses with improved protection in reference to the standard ANSI
transformer damage curve. ELX fuses are full range C-rated and non-gassing available in
ratings through 50A at 8.3 kV and 15.5 kV and 40A at 23.0 kV. X-Limiter fuses are
full-range-clearing fuses for protection of indoor and underground cable distribution
systems 2.4-38 kV.
Mountings and Enclosures
The variety of ELX, NX and X-Limiter fuse mountings and
enclosures available makes possible sectionalizing, switching and protective schemes
unattainable with other fusing equipment.
Switchblade with Arc-Strangler® Loadbreak
Switchblades with an Arc-Strangler loadbreak are available
in 8.3 and 15.5 kV.
Arc-Strangler Loadbreak
The Arc-Strangler loadbreak is available on 4.3-15.5 kV NX
fuses, allowing space-saving switching and fusing arrangements.

Oil-Immersed Current-Limiting Fuses and Holders
ELSP back-up current-limiting fuses are used in series with
low-current primary protection devices such as Bay-O-Net Fuses or MagneX Interrupters to
increase the interrupting capabilities to 50,000 A. The ELSP is designed for use in oil.
The fuses highly efficient current-limiting section minimizes the effects of high
fault stresses on equipment and the distribution system.

EL Bay-O-Net is a fuse holder assembly used to mount a full
range oil immersed ELS current-limiting fuse. An arc follower attached to the lower end of
the fuse aids loadbreak switching.
ELSG is an E-rated, full-range, current-limiting fuse which
mounts the wet well holder as a protection device for pad-mounted switchgear. 9.3, 15.5
and 23 kV rated fuses are available in 20-200 A.
