Cooper Power Systems VFI underground distribution switchgear provides an environmentally preferred, safer, and more reliable approach to medium-voltage switching and protection. 

Dead-front construction and enhanced operating features provide added safety. All internal parts are completely immersed within a sealed insulating medium. A variety of fluid and gas insulating media are available, including Envirotemp 200 – a fire-resistant, non-toxic, biodegradable, liquid dielectric coolant.

All interruption takes place within dependable Cooper Power Systems vacuum interrupters, independent of the dielectric medium.  Resettable three-phase or single-phase interrupters eliminate the downtime and expense associated with stocking and replacing fuses. VFI overcurrent controls optimize coordination flexibility, and advanced automation options are available at time of purchase, or can be added at a later date.
