| Surge Arrester - Interchangeable Fuse Cutout Combinations
Combining the functions of a distribution class arrester with a fuse cutout results in a package which is compact and efficient
that eliminates pole top hardware. By combining these products (arrester and fuse cutout) provides easier installation, handling
and customer procurement over separately purchased and installed components.
Cooper Power Systems surge arrester - interchangeable fuse cutout combinations are available in a wide range of distribution
class arrrester designs and fuse cutout ratings. Surge arresters can be ordered in silicone rubber (UltraSIL) housings, normal
or heavy duty classifications and VariGAP® (gapped MOV) or VarisSTAR® (gapless MOV) designs. Type L interchangeable fuse cutout
ratings are available in 15 or 27 kV ratings with a 100 A or 200 A fuseholders or a 300 A disconnect blade. These cutouts can
also accommodate a Cooper Power Systems ELF full range current-limiting fuse.
A wide variety of mounting hardware is available to customize your package to that which fits your needs best. All come standard
with a crossarm mounting bracket. Parallel groove or eyebolt connectors are also options for electrical connections on the cutout.
