Fusing Equipment

When it comes to fusing equipment, Cooper Power Systems’ total capability translates into economy for the customer. Overhead distribution fusing products include interchangeable Type L and Type HX cutouts, a variety of fuse links, Companion back-up current-limiting fuses, and ELF full-range current-limiting dropout fuses. Enclosure-mounted fuses include full-range NX, X-Limiter and ELX current-limiting fuses and a variety of fuse mounts. Underground systems are commonly fused with a Bay-O-Net in series with an ELSP back-up oil-submersible current-limiting fuse or a full-range ELS fuse mounted in an EL Bay-O-Net holder. Pad-mounted switchgear protection is available with E-rated fuses, like the ELSG full range fuse, both mounted in a wet well holder.

Cooper Power Systems offers the Edison Modular fuse (EMF). This quick, easy fuse replacement solution, with less risk of damage or improper assembly, is a full-range, fully shielded, insulated, and submersible in-line fuse. Ideal for below grade, dead-front, cable distribution systems and vault applications, can be mounted directly to the vault wall, strut fixtures and cabinet mounting plates.
